As Mr Willy Mason would say: “Gotta keep moving, gotta keep moving, gotta keep moving with a troubled mind I’m following”.
Its been a while since the last blog post. The reason being that there have been big changes at The Rub HQ. Namely HQ have been moved. After sharing a house in the burbs of south Co. Dublin for the last 3 and a 1/2 years, I have made the big move to Town, with a capital T…. (more…)
Well, it’s that time of year again, Christmas has rolled on by. The big day is over and done with, bellies are full and toes are up by the fire. My thoughts drift to the year that has flown past me in the blink of an eye… (more…)
# Long nights out with work and western friends, Christmas cheer and snow fall abound. Missing spaces and open voids left to linger. With every dawn brea, brings new light of day.
#Winter nights when hail bears down. Long drives home and many miles flown. Warmer days seem so far away. Yet open arms draw you near as you touch down.
#Wishing, wanting for what tomorrwow has to bring. Bells calling s the morning draws near. Warmer fellings have me yearning for what the future holds. Eyes are closing so our dreams can bring us close.

Quite devastated in fact. I felt so helpless listening to the news from my mother and sister, and seeing the photos on friends Facebook pages. I cannot imagine how gutted the whole town is, I was close to tears just hearing about it, I cannot imagine living it. (more…)
So, at the start of May this year I weighted in at 107kg in my bare feet. It took me a long time, but I had gotten to the point where I couldn’t convince myself any longer that this was okay. I had joined a gym back in 2005. Back then I tipped 118kg, and a size 26. I got down to 112 by exercising a load but not changing my diet one bit. I felt better, but it didn’t last.

From my very limited experience, I understand that in blogging it’s best to make it witty, or educational, or maybe promote my latest vehicle. Except I don’t have a vehicle, unless you count the Punto sitting outside whom I have stopped loving because she has cost me so much money in the last few months that i could have replaced her by now with a nice shiny Focus.
